MiMi Coutures Top 3 Picks of MBNYFW

My Top 3 Picks of MBNYFW
There may have been a blizzard in the Northeast, but leave it to New York Fashion Week to heat things up a bit!
From edgy leather frocks, to colorful furs, and all things printed in between this fashion week did not seize to amaze.

Chado Ralph Rucci
This designer has become by new obsession since seeing one of his frocks on the SAG Awards red carpet.
Each piece in the collection is tailored to perfection while still being sexy, classy, and edgy at the same time.

Charlotte Ronson
I love how she decided to go with a presentation format instead of her runway show this year. Monochromatically the models stood in a row, which in my opinion allowed you to see and understand the collection better.
From the green and purple leather pieces, to dresses paired with a chic motorcycle jacket her collection always appeals to the masses.

Zac Posen
This year the designer focused more on cocktail and evening separates opposed to the beautiful gowns that he has become famous for. And of course he did not disappoint.
The pops of color over plush velvet fabrics shows his true genius.

Top 5 Best Dressed Ladies of the SAG Awards

My Top 5 Best Dressed Ladies of the SAG Awards

5.  Jennifer Garner looked sexy and confident in Oscar de la Renta. I loved the minimal makeup, tousled wavy tresses, and how her accessories allowed her gold gown to be the center of attention.

4. Nina Dobrev was simple, sexy, and elegant in Elie Saab. I loved the updated yet tasteful lace cutouts and the pop of color stood out not only against the red carpet, but also among the sea of white, black, and navy choices that we saw last night.

3.  Jessica Chastain looked ravishing in Alexander McQueen. This dress was tailored to perfection, and the red color pops against her beautiful pale skin. The barely there makeup and deep side part was right on trend for the night. Not only is her career on the rise, but also her iconic status in the world of fashion.

2.  Amanda Seyfried looked beyond amazing in Zac Posen. The mermaid silhouette hugged her body like a glove, and accentuated her curves in a subtle way. The navy blue color (a huge trend on the carpet last night) of her dress complimented her skin tone, and the smokey eye makeup made her gorgeous green eyes stand out. If she would have chosen a different necklace she would have been my #1 choice of the night.

And the best dressed winner is………………….Naomi Watts styled to perfection in Marchesa. From her deep side parted hair (another trend from last night), to her impeccable barely there makeup with a pop of color on the lip, and her muted yet statement accessories she exuded old Hollywood glamour.
