It's no surprise that I had to feature this DUO for BLOGON! So without further ado read on as Jess & Jill dish their favorite things about blogging, how they started StyleJuncture.com and of course their favorite places to shop in Chicago!
Jess & Jill: The creation of JUNCTURE happened very organically. We both just moved to Chicago and developed this new friendship, so while getting to know each other and the city we found common ground in fashion. Jess had a blog at the time about moving to the city, In The Chi-Loop, and Jill had mentioned that she always wanted to start a blog. It eventually developed from there!
Jess & Jill: We love sharing the blog because it's great having someone to go to events with! It's never a lonely day when we're finding a new topic to blog about and we always have a personal photographer in each other. JUNCTURE is also the perfect combination of the two of us and focuses on each of our strengths, Jess' creativity and Jill's writing skills. We also find that doing a blog together gives us an advantage, because while we are very similar, we look at things differently and can offer a different approach from post to post. And it's nice to have someone there to proofread! We couldn't choose a better person to blog with!
Jess & Jill: Locally, together we discovered and fell in love with the jewelery that Michelle from Love & Pieces (1616 N. Damen Ave.) creates. Her dainty, feminine pieces are perfect for any wardrobe and budget.Some of our favorites beyond the Chicago border that we both share are Elizabeth & James, The Row (we're obsessed with the Olsen Twins), and Marc Jacobs. Jess likes Marissa Webb, the once head designer for J.Crew, House of Harlow & Winter Kate, Chloe, and Zara. Jill favors Free People, Alexander Wang, Alexander McQueen, and French Connection.
