Let me just say that I love the fall season. The weather begins to get a little cooler at night, the beautiful color of the changing leaves, and of course Paris Fashion Week. Without further ado, I present to you a few of my favorite picks hot off the Paris runways!!
Classic and Timeless
(Don’t Look at the Shoes!)
Chanel
I love how Karl Lagerfeld took the classic tweed jacket and added bright colors for a modern twist.
The over-the-top pearls and matching handbag adds just the right amount of dramatic flair to the collection.
A 60’s Throwback? Yes, Please!
Louis Vuitton
I LOVE the lemon drop colors, the mod style silhouettes, and the Jackie O inspired jackets. The mini cubed bags and bow head pieces are nothing short of perfection.
The vibrant check patterns pay homage to the 60’s with a chic and fresh update. If you look closely, the checks on the garments and in the floor design should remind you of a specific Louis Vuitton handbag.
Louis Vuitton’s creative director, Marc Jacobs, is a genius. Who else would have their models wow the audience by entering and exiting on escalators?
Skin Is In
Balenciaga
It’s good to know that my two favorite trends, peplums and high side slits, will still be around for next season. The asymmetrical cuts and tailoring are perfection. This LBD is so sexy, however, the white peeking out from underneath makes it very edgy.
This is one of my favorite looks of the week! The cut and color of the skirt makes it so feminine, but the black outline and the leather and sheer panel crop top takes it to an entirely different level.
Whimsical, Dark, and Edgy
Christian Dior
This design is light, airy, and free. The way the light hits the dress, it almost looks like blue lightning.
(Check out the shoes! Hint Hint: Metallics will be in full swing next season.)
Is your dark side sheer, belted, and a little green with envy? Or is it more masculine and tailored with a pointy toe pump?
The Heiress Collection
Elie Saab
This white pant suit is fresh and tailored to perfection. The shoulder slits give the long sleeve top an understated sexiness.
This dress is perfect for daytime or an early dinner. The bright colors are muted by the dark geometric lines that help to pull in the waistline. The print is fresh and fun.
This silhouette is simple, sexy, and elegant. Cutouts get a tasteful update with lace instead of bare skin. The ankle strap shoe is everything!!
Styled to perfection.
