Last week I had the honor of attending the MOTIONS Hair Care Event here in Chicago at the beautiful Japonais Restaurant. The exotic and mysterious décor was the perfect setting to talk about Motions new line of Natural Hair Care Products including a live presentation and Q&A with celebrity hairstylist and MOTIONS Global Ambassador Ursula Stephen, who is perhaps best known for creating the always popular and ever changing looks of some of your favorite celebrities most notably, singer Rihanna.
I was given the chance to chat with the hair guru herself and ask her about MOTIONS Natural Hair Care Products, how to take care of your natural hair, and for those who dare, how to take care of hair extensions.
M. Coleman: What are your favorite products from the MOTIONS Natural Hair Care Line?
Ursula Stephen: “I love the Hydrate My Curls Pudding and Define My Curls Crème. They both make natural hair more manageable and give you various desired styles. The Radiating Gloss is also good for an everyday shine and to keep hair moisturized.”
M. Coleman: What is the best way to take care of your own hair on an everyday basis?
Ursula Stephen: “Make sure that you keep your hair conditioned, moisturized and get your ends trimmed to avoid damage.”
M. Coleman: Right now I am experimenting with extensions, how can I keep them moisturized without them appearing to look weighed down with product?
Ursula Stephen: “The MOTIONS Hydrate My Curls Pudding is perfect for human hair extensions because it doesn’t weigh the hair down and moisturizes. To get the best results from extensions you must treat them as you would treat your real hair.”
After this event I couldn’t wait to go home and try out all the great products Ursula Stephen mentioned above and others that were gifted to me. My personal favorites are the MOTIONS Conditioning Masque to help hydrate your hair, the Radiating Gloss, and the Hydrate My Curls Pudding where a little goes a long way. MOTIONS products are available at all beauty supply stores, drug stores, and mass-market retailers nationwide.
