Shop In Chicago @ The Drake Hotel!!!

What a Fun, Festive and Magical Evening at the Shop In Chicago Event!!!

Held at the always elegant Drake hotel in the historic Gold Coast it felt like truly the holidays when entering the hotel. There were so Many decorations to see in the front lobby the Gingerbread train, the Nutcrackers, the lovely tree... Its moments like those that make living in this Blizzard like weather bearable!

So onto the Shop in Chicago ♥
This place was filled with so many treasures that I just couldn't wait to see!!!

Handsome Horacio Nieto was first for me to see and I was sooo happy to see his cute face! And can you believe he had his spring 2011 collection available?!? So I made an appointment to see him next week so I can be professionally fitted with his designs and oh I'm so thrilled!!!

He's a designer not to be missed in Chicago... his spring collection is filled with vibrant tropical colors as well as ethereal earth tones: the desert and the sea became one. He's such a humble designer with the most lovely persona: visit his site online at www.horacionieto.com

Next I got to meet Cheryl Gibson of G.E.O.L.O.G.Y.. She has a nice collection of jewelry designs that she emphasizes that she makes all her pieces and she truly enjoys it. My heart stopped for a moment when I saw this necklace I was instantly transported to a place somewhere Asian inspired the sounds and the colors drew me in further...I had to take a touch at it and love the contrast of the textures: the red Asian inspired pendant was done with a subtle rough texture and the white coral beads were just as smooth as silk with slight grooves on them to add a bit of texture.

Onto the royal findings at Camelot: An European & American clothing store for girls & boys!!! What a adorable concept!!! And the owner Cameren D'zela was so enthusiastic about her store and the designs she carries you can visit her store location at 854 west Armitage Chicago IL 60614.

My favorite finds where theses " just oh my gosh sooo cute" baby crochet hats!!! They have to be the cutest little things made by She Bloom!!! I thankfully have a lovely family that I know who has a girl and she's turning a year old real soon so I had to get this for her!!!

I picked the gold because it's so festive and I just love the shimmer to the flower on it is so beautiful...
                                                                                  ♥♥

There was also a lovely cuff designer nunu I loved her cuffs and she is such a cool gal :

Sophia at Pink Label, I first got a glimpse of her collection at the Fashion Frost this year and her pieces are fun, flirty, and festive! My little princess pulled me over to her collection after she saw these amazing glitter shoes...she knows my style for sure...so I get my size and try them on a they fit so comfortablably. Sophia explained to me that the sequins can be arranged in different ways as you can smooth it into different shapes and even write your name on them-- how cool!!!

Shelly Becker of the 3 hearts Inc was there and she's such fun and enthusiastic about her designs. I first got to meet her during Latino Fashion Week in Chicago last month...

I also had to get this cool cuff from Shelly's collection it has clear and black rhinestones all over it and it opens and closes with a snap which makes it super easy to put on:

Finally I got to meet a skincare expert Lisa Newell of dirt. It is a skin care line I myself got to sample the luxe salt scrub I was totally hooked!!! This stuff really smooths the driest skin: mine and makes it nice and like silk. She says she just recently started her skin care line @ www.dirtbeaute.com and she uses natural ingredients and lists them individually on each package. This is the perfect luxe care for your skin in the winter...

A few other fine designers I met where:

Lucius Fine Jewelry the owner Christy Lucius was so down to earth and happy To display her designs, view her collection online at www.LuciusJewelry.com

The MonA by Hector Javier his designs where really fine quality and very glam styles: www.themonafashion.com

City blue, I stopped by there table because they had the article of the lovely babe Julie of Jules from Chicago Collection Magazine displayed on their table. And they said that they will be carrying her line real soon at their stores how fun!!!

Gosh everything was such fun and really didn't want to leave but it was getting late and couldn't wait to get home to try on and play around with my new treasures...

Thanks to everyone involved at Shop In Chicago for hosting such a great event!!!
