My Two Obsessions from The 53rd Annual Grammy's!*!*!*!

Last Night at the 53rd Annual Grammy's was a wonderful and fun night of surprises and fashions!*!*!*  It's always such a pleasure to view the stars become ultra glammed and Celebrate their achievements together. My favorite part of any awards are always the fashions so let's get right to it! ---

Naya Rivera was so gorgeous and glam in her high/ low hemline dress, with the adorable train! What instantly attracted me to this dress was the sexy contrast in the dress...

Plus, I immediately thought of Chicago's own Well known designer Horacio Nieto Spring 2011 Collection. One dress only that I'm totally obsessed with is for certain The Koi dress.---With it similar hemline, however his design has a stunning emerald turquoise rich color and smooth and sheen fabric with jewels on each shoulder as the perfect and only accessory one would need to wear the regal design. I think it is a beautiful and fun Alternative to the dress worn by Naya...

Ciara was a Nubian Goddess in her Emilio Pucci . The fit and colors were such a perfect compliment to her body. The flow and the distinctive cutouts in all the right places all make the design just a perfect compliment to her body and exudes sexiness in a sweet and regal manner. The blue tones just make the dress flow and it looks so effortless and breezy...

There are a couple of dresses I think of as inspiration of this design. The first is by Chicago's own Designer Borris J Powell. Who actually is in LA as a top ten designer for The Academy Dress Challenge. You can vote for your favorite on 2/16 and follow my tweets as I get more information as the date approaches. His Fall 2010 Collection featured a stunning gown with intricate beading and luxe materials with a long flowing sheer hemline and train that overlays a short sexy bodice underneath...the Collection was fittingly titled "The Rise of An Empress"...
World Famous Chicago Designer

This next design is from bebe and it for the very confident and comfortable lady, yet if it is worn the right way and on the right personality it can look sweet and sexy...

It was such fun watching the red carpet and waiting too see what everyone was wearing I just love awards season, and especially the Grammys as it is a much more fun, creative awards show that the artists can express their individuality instead of being fashionably correct!*!*!*
