LORI'S Shoes 30th Anniversary Event

In honor of “The Sole of Chicago” Lori’s Shoes and the business’ 30th Anniversary, CChic LLC worked with owner Lori Andre and her staff to create and implement a PR and social media campaign. We researched and wrote the press release, built a media list of fashion bloggers and reporters from newspapers, magazines and television stations. Using traditional pitching to those publications for potential coverage of the event.
In just one week, CChic was able to get placements for the event into the online calendars of Michigan Avenue, Make it Better, My Daily Find Chicago, 97.1 The Drive, Chicago in Stilettos, CS Chicago Social, NS North Shore and Now You Know Events.

In addition, we worked with Fox 32 News on a television segment featuring Lori and highlighting Lori’s shoe drive with Dress for Success Worldwide-Central. Attendees who donated a pair of shoes for the initiative received a $10 gift card off their next purchase of $50 or more.

Throughout the week leading up to the event, CChic launched an Instagram campaign, in which Instagram users had to tag both CChic and Lori’s Shoes in a picture featuring their favorite fall boots. The winner received a $100 giftcard to Lori’s Shoes. Designing the contest logo and also promoting the event through our social media platforms Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

On Thursday, November 13, 2013, Lori’s flagship store, 824 Armitage Ave., in Chicago held a private celebration to kick off the celebration of 30 years in business. Guests sipped champagne and mingled with friends, enjoying special deals and discounts on select merchandise, music by D.J. Lugo Rosado, hoer d’oeuvres from locally owned Interurban CafĂ© and Pastry Shop and floral design by Rose Darling Florists in Glenview. Events With a K provided the event production and Dean Paul Photography provided the photography. Press guests included Elly Fishman of Chicago Magazine, Farissa Knox and Sara Visser of What R U Wearing, Suzanne Kopulos of Garmental and Nicki Brashear of Fashionista Chicago.

More than a dozen shoes were collected that night for Dress for Success, with more shoes added throughout the weekend.
The celebration continued Saturday, November 16, 2013 with a public shopping party at 824 Armitage Ave., Chicago.
CChic worked with TCW magazine, Michigan Avenue magazine and Sun-Times Splash on post-event coverage. The magazines featured the event on their online events webpage, while Splash featured the event in their “Cheers” section.

4 Tips for Holiday Marketing

The Starbucks red cups are out and the Christmas music is played loud and clear at Macy’s, and that can only mean one thing—the holidays are here. In order to yield a successful holiday campaign, you need to plan in advance so your product or idea is ready to start well before the Black Friday rush. Read on for more helpful holiday tips and platforms:

1.     Utilize Social Media
Facebook is THE social media platform to focus your campaign on. According to PR Daily, use your Facebook page to run holiday-themed contests on the Timeline to engage your fans. Ask for shares and “likes” and create a specific hashtag to keep the message trending so it is likely to be seen by people outside your audience.  Change your Facebook page cover photo to reflect the upcoming holiday season, post appropriate-themed status updates, highlight popular products or ideas. Businesses should also consider using Instagram or Pinterest for a board or photo-sharing campaign.

2.     Repeat Often
Set goals as to what your business is looking to accomplish; holiday promotions can be a great lead-in for future campaigns. Whether it is through a subscriber e-newsletter, social media or direct mail, advertise your offers multiple times throughout the next two months to get the word out about upcoming launches and events and boost your sales. However, make sure to space them out so not to stress out your customer. Consider sending out one message to customers two to three weeks out, a second message the week of the event, and a third message thanking customers and making sure they connect with your business via social media.

3.     Figure Out What Makes You Unique
What is it about your business or product that is different from the major marketers? This is especially important for local businesses to consider marketing outside of the major holidays, including Small Business Saturday (usually held after Black Friday) and Cyber Monday. Cater to your audience with special deals and promotions, making sure you emphasize the specific entities about your products (quality, service, etc.) throughout the season.

4.     Consider Add-On Incentives
Whether it is a gift card to use for a specific amount spent, a refer-a-friend discount, coupon codes or free shipping for online retailers, incentives are an easy way to bring in sales and encourage future purchases. For example, “Spend $50 and receive a $10 gift card off your next purchase”, or “Refer a friend and you both get 20% off your next purchase.” Businesses need to shift their focus to their customers, and by giving the customer a specific amount of time to purchase the product, your business will encourage customers to utilize the offer now.

Client gidi Lookbook Concept

"Fall In Love" This past Spring CChic LLC provided creative direction for the storyboard & concept for a lookbook for client gidi titled: "Fall In Love" the concept was completed before ever viewing the final collection. Purely based off vision of the collection & materials that would be present in this classic collection.

After meeting with Taneasha Prunty {designer of gidi} we began implementing the photoshoot location  & hiring the right cast who would pull off this vision.
CChic LLC also provided video story for this photoshoot which you can view here.

It all began with an inspiration from a dream & from there the concept of the mood & title that would be created. We wanted to create an experience of Falling In Love...

The gidi brand is truly an exquisite yet classic brand so we wanted to combine those elements in the exclusive Autumn Winter 13' Lookbook "Fall In Love":
